Why Restore?

Antique furniture carries irreplaceable cultural value. Restoration preserves not only the physical object but the story of the craftsmen, materials and techniques that defined entire eras of Czech design history.

Finding a Restorer

Licensed restorers in the Czech Republic work under the Act on State Monument Care. Look for specialists registered with the National Heritage Institute who use period-appropriate materials and methods.

Material Matters

Authentic restoration relies on original materials wherever possible: animal-based glues, natural pigments, beeswax, shellac and hand-forged hardware. Modern substitutes are used only when the original cannot be sourced responsibly.
